“ Painting the unspoken; a pure expression of the soul”

Every day I step into my studio, it's a playground—a place to break rules, make a mess, and give my inner perfectionist the day off. My process is a high-stakes collision of printmaking, raw charcoal, heavy oil, and vibrant colour, though I always let the canvas dictate its own mood. Fuelled by travel memories, personal photographs, and fragments from old sketchbooks, these pieces become a living diary where nothing is wasted—just given a second, wilder life. My art is an invitation to step in and lean into the unscripted moments.

Bio

Ali Owen is a British contemporary artist who pairs a love for vibrant colour and playful experimentation with serious artistic rigour. Holding a Master’s in Fine Art and Surface Pattern Design, she spent 18 years in higher education championing emerging artists before committing full-time to her studio. Ali’s work navigates the space between raw gesture and refined order—a collision of printmaking, charcoal, acrylics, and oils. Drawing inspiration from personal photographs and old sketchbooks, her large-scale canvases act as visual anchors, bringing atmospheric energy, warmth, and quiet strength to any room.
